1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Teyapo Gaming Platform ("Teyapo," "we," "us," or "our"), including our website, applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account on Teyapo. Users between 13 and 18 years of age must have parental or guardian consent. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

Participation in tournaments with monetary entry fees or prize pools requires you to be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher.

3. Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and keep it up to date.
• Each person may maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts to gain unfair advantages is prohibited.
• You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
• Your gamer tag must not impersonate another person, contain offensive language, or violate any third-party rights.

4. Acceptable Use

When using Teyapo, you agree not to:

• Cheat, exploit bugs, or use unauthorized software to gain unfair advantages in competitions.
• Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate other users.
• Post or share content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or promotes violence.
• Manipulate match results, collude with opponents, or engage in match-fixing.
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or private data.
• Use the platform for any illegal purpose or in violation of applicable laws.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks connected to the Service.
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the platform without permission.
• Sell, transfer, or share your account with another person.

5. Tournaments and Competitions

5.1 Participation

By joining a tournament, you agree to abide by the specific rules set by the tournament organizer, in addition to these Terms. You acknowledge that tournament results are determined by gameplay performance and organizer decisions.

5.2 Entry Fees and Prizes

Some tournaments may require entry fees. All fees are non-refundable once the tournament begins unless the tournament is cancelled by the organizer. Prize distribution is handled according to the tournament rules published before registration opens.

5.3 Disqualification

Teyapo and tournament organizers reserve the right to disqualify participants who violate tournament rules, these Terms, or the Code of Conduct. Disqualified participants forfeit any entry fees and potential prizes.

6. Lounge Operators and Organizers

If you register as a lounge operator or tournament organizer, you additionally agree to:

• Provide accurate information about your venue or organization.
• Operate tournaments fairly and in accordance with published rules.
• Distribute prizes as advertised within a reasonable timeframe.
• Comply with all applicable local laws and regulations, including those related to gaming, gambling, and business operations.
• Not misrepresent your affiliation with Teyapo or claim official endorsement without written authorization.

7. Intellectual Property

The Teyapo platform, including its design, logos, text, graphics, and software, is owned by Teyapo and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written consent.

Content you create and upload (profile information, messages, etc.) remains yours. By posting content on Teyapo, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content as part of the Service.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.

Teyapo is not responsible for the conduct of other users, the outcome of tournaments, or any disputes between participants and organizers. We provide the platform; the competitive experience is shaped by its community.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Teyapo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Teyapo in the 12 months preceding the claim, or ZMW 500, whichever is greater.

10. Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms, the Code of Conduct, or engage in activity that harms the platform or its users. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before or at the time of suspension.

You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached within 30 days, the dispute shall be submitted to mediation or arbitration in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Zambia.

For tournament-specific disputes (match results, disqualifications, prize distribution), the tournament organizer's decision is final unless it violates these Terms or applicable law.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Zambia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal proceedings shall be conducted in the courts of Lusaka, Zambia.
