Code of Conduct

Our community standards for a respectful and inclusive gaming environment.

Last updated: May 30, 2025

1. Our Pledge

Teyapo is dedicated to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, level of experience, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation. We are committed to building a community where all gamers can compete, connect, and grow together.

2. Expected Behaviour

All community members are expected to:

  • Treat all players, organizers, and staff with respect and courtesy.
  • Communicate constructively and avoid personal attacks.
  • Practice good sportsmanship, whether winning or losing.
  • Respect the decisions of tournament administrators and moderators.
  • Report violations through proper channels rather than engaging in retaliation.
  • Be mindful of language and behaviour in all platform interactions, including chat, forums, and voice communication.
  • Support and encourage new members of the community.

3. Unacceptable Behaviour

The following behaviours are not tolerated on Teyapo:

  • Harassment: Offensive comments, intimidation, stalking, or unwanted contact directed at any individual.
  • Hate Speech: Slurs, derogatory language, or content that promotes discrimination based on protected characteristics.
  • Threats: Threats of violence, doxxing, or any form of intimidation.
  • Sexual Content: Sharing sexually explicit or suggestive content in any platform space.
  • Trolling: Deliberately provoking or disrupting others for personal amusement.
  • Spam: Excessive self-promotion, unsolicited advertising, or repetitive messages.
  • Impersonation: Pretending to be another player, staff member, or public figure.
  • Toxic Behaviour: Rage-quitting, griefing, intentional feeding, or sabotaging teammates.

4. Communication Standards

Whether in chat, voice, forums, or any other platform feature:

  • Keep conversations relevant and constructive.
  • Avoid excessive profanity, especially when directed at others.
  • Do not share personal information of others without their consent.
  • Use appropriate usernames and profile images that do not contain offensive content.
  • Respect language preferences and communicate in the designated language for each channel or event.

5. Competitive Integrity

Fair competition is the foundation of our platform:

  • Play to the best of your ability in every match.
  • Accept defeat gracefully and congratulate your opponents.
  • Do not attempt to gain unfair advantages through exploits, cheats, or collusion.
  • Report suspected cheating through official channels rather than making public accusations.
  • Respect the competitive format and rules of each tournament.

6. Reporting Violations

If you witness or experience a violation of this Code of Conduct:

  • Use the in-platform reporting tools to flag inappropriate behaviour.
  • Contact our moderation team at conduct@teyapo.com for serious concerns.
  • Provide as much detail as possible, including screenshots or recordings.
  • All reports are treated confidentially and investigated thoroughly.
  • Retaliation against anyone who reports a violation is itself a violation.

7. Enforcement

Violations of this Code of Conduct will be addressed through a graduated response system:

1

Warning

A private written warning explaining the violation and expected behaviour change.

2

Temporary Mute

Restriction from communication features for a specified period.

3

Temporary Suspension

Temporary ban from tournaments and platform features (7–30 days).

4

Permanent Ban

Permanent removal from the platform for severe or repeated violations.

Severe violations (threats, doxxing, illegal activity) may result in immediate permanent ban without prior warnings.

8. Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to all Teyapo platform spaces, including but not limited to: tournament lobbies, chat channels, forums, profile pages, team communications, and any official Teyapo events (online or in-person). It also applies to behaviour on external platforms (Discord, social media) when directly related to Teyapo community interactions.

9. Questions & Feedback

We welcome feedback on this Code of Conduct. If you have suggestions for improvement or questions about any of these guidelines, please contact us at conduct@teyapo.com or visit our Help Center.
