Getting Started

How do I create an account?
Visit the sign-up page and register with your email address or sign in with Google. You'll need to verify your email before accessing all platform features.
How do I set up my gamer profile?
After signing in, go to your Profile page from the dashboard. Fill in your gamertag, preferred games, and link your gaming accounts (PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, etc.).
What games are supported?
Teyapo supports a growing catalog of competitive titles including FIFA/EA FC, Call of Duty, Fortnite, Tekken, and more. Check the Games section for the full list of supported titles.
Is Teyapo free to use?
Yes! Creating an account and joining free tournaments is completely free. Some premium tournaments may have entry fees, which contribute to the prize pool.

Tournaments

How do I join a tournament?
Browse available tournaments from the Tournaments page. Click on a tournament to view details, then click 'Register' or 'Join'. Some tournaments require an entry fee or team registration.
How does check-in work?
Check-in opens 30 minutes before the tournament starts. You'll receive a notification. Go to the tournament page and click 'Check In'. If you don't check in on time, you'll be removed from the bracket.
What happens if my opponent doesn't show up?
If your opponent doesn't show within 10 minutes of the match start, they forfeit. Report the no-show through the match page and an admin will confirm the result.
Can I create my own tournament?
Yes! Tournament organizers can create custom tournaments. Go to the Tournaments page and click 'Create Tournament'. You can set the game, format, rules, entry fee, and prize pool.
What tournament formats are available?
We support single elimination, double elimination, round robin, and Swiss formats. The tournament organizer selects the format when creating the event.

Teams & Brackets

How do I create a team?
Go to the Teams page and click 'Create Team'. Choose a team name, add a logo, and invite members. You'll be the team captain by default.
How do I invite players to my team?
As a team captain, go to your team page and use the 'Invite Members' option. You can invite by username or share an invite link.
How do community brackets work?
Community brackets are player-organized competitive events. Anyone can create a bracket, invite friends, and run their own mini-tournament with custom rules.
Can I be on multiple teams?
Yes, you can be a member of multiple teams. However, you can only represent one team per tournament.

Payments & Prizes

How do I pay tournament entry fees?
Entry fees can be paid via mobile money (Airtel Money, MTN Mobile Money) or card payment. Select your preferred method during tournament registration.
How do I receive prize winnings?
Prize winnings are sent to your linked payout method within 7 business days of tournament completion. Set up your payout method in Account Settings > Payments.
Are there any platform fees?
Teyapo charges a small service fee on paid tournament entry fees to maintain the platform. The fee percentage is displayed before you confirm payment.
What if I need a refund?
Refunds for tournament entry fees are available if you withdraw before the registration deadline. After the deadline, refunds are only issued if the tournament is cancelled. Contact support for assistance.

Account & Settings

How do I change my password?
Go to Account Settings > Security and click 'Change Password'. You'll need to enter your current password and then your new password twice to confirm.
How do I link my gaming accounts?
Navigate to Profile > Linked Accounts. Click 'Link Account' next to the platform you want to connect (PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, etc.) and follow the authorization flow.
How do I enable notifications?
Go to Account Settings > Notifications. You can customize which notifications you receive (tournament updates, match reminders, team invites) and how (push, email, or both).
How do I delete my account?
Go to Account Settings > Privacy and click 'Delete Account'. This action is permanent and will remove all your data, tournament history, and team memberships. Active tournament registrations must be cancelled first.

Technical Issues

The page isn't loading properly
Try clearing your browser cache and cookies, then refresh the page. If the issue persists, try a different browser or disable browser extensions. Our platform works best on Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
I'm having connection issues during a match
Ensure you have a stable internet connection. If you disconnect during a match, try to reconnect as quickly as possible. If the issue is on our end, tournament admins will be notified and may offer a rematch.
The app isn't sending notifications
Check that notifications are enabled in both your device settings and your Teyapo account settings. On mobile, ensure the app has permission to send push notifications.
I found a bug — how do I report it?
We appreciate bug reports! Email us at support@teyapo.com with a description of the issue, steps to reproduce it, your device/browser info, and any screenshots. You can also use the feedback button in the app.
